Your Holiday Island Chamber provides a wide range of volunteer opportunities for members and non-members. Without the volunteer manpower, it would be impossible to conduct the many high-quality events and programs the Chamber offers. These opportunities are a great way for individuals to expand their exposure to the Holiday Island’s business community, to meet like-mined people, and to add value to their Lakeside Community. The Chamber’s Board will be happy to assist you in identifying volunteer opportunities that suit your personal interest.

COMMITTEES

6^th Big Bass Tournament Volunteers- May – Annual fishing tournament hosting 125+ fisherman from 6 known different states and more than 62 cities with over $8,000 is prize money and other benefits including a Fish Fry the evening before!  The Chambers biggest Fundraiser!

Volunteer help needed:  Securing Sponsors and goody bag items, Graphic designing/promoting, Preparing/Staffing the event

3^rd Patriot Days Volunteers - September – Annual tribute to First Responders and Firefighters with Presenting of Colors by the American Legion, Kids activities all day, Vendors, Fish Fry, Live Music

Volunteer help needed:  Securing Sponsors, Encouraging/Coordinating Vendors, Graphic designing/promoting, Preparing/Staffing the event

Oakley, Our Tree Mascot – At events - Actor/Actress inhabiting our one-of-a-kind creatively-designed to fit all sizes Tree Costume - Holiday Island is Tree City USA 19 years

Receptionist - Customer-service outgoing person taking one day a week 11 am – 3-pm to staff the Chamber Office located at 5 Forest Drive, Suite C, Holiday Island

Monthly Event Volunteers – Organize monthly events like Lunch & Learn, Meet & Greet, Business During/After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings

Facebook/Instagram/Media Coordinator Volunteer – posting/interacting 2 twice/week; planning/executing traditional media promotions

Parking Lot Volunteers - An occasional change to staff CS Bank’s parking lot 8 am – 4 pm, with proceeds coming to the Chamber fundraiser

Membership Volunteers - Recruiting/Retaining members by identifying their needs and recommending the development of services to meet those needs.
